A practical workshop for Perfusionists focussing on the post-cardiotomy patient.

This will give Perfusionists the necessary experience required to correctly identify and then rectify these complications. This runs as a small informal course limited to 10 places.
- Theory Lecture to include circuit design, cannulation, management and trouble-shooting of the ECMO patient.
- Practical session including introduction to circuit and components, followed by a skill session enabling familiarity of ECMO management and emergency procedures.
- Use of Orpheus combined with full patient mock up of patient management scenario’s ranging from general patient management to trouble-shooting and emergency procedures.
