Course Details

Course description:

This is a new course focused on mechanical ventilation and common difficulties that are encountered in ICU, the operating theatre and elsewhere. It is made up of hands-on workshop teaching and interactive simulated scenarios, taught in small multi-disciplinary groups and with extensive time to interact with simulated patients using real ventilators. Our new simulation technology allows us to accurately simulate changing respiratory compliance, airway obstruction and variable airways resistance, giving a realistic feel to the teaching.
