Training the Trainers Course

BMSC possesses the widest range of simulators in the UK. This popular and unique course is specially designed for a small group of educators who wish to discover how to use simulators as teaching tools. You will be introduced to 6 different adult simulators, 3 different paediatric simulators, including a neonate, and the software packages provided by 3 different simulator manufacturers.

The course draws on the independent knowledge Bristol has gleaned from over 10 years course experience. Faculty will be able to provide impartial opinions and advice during hands-on tutorial sessions which allow you to become more familiar with the simulators whilst learning how to construct and debrief a teaching session.

The programme will cover:

Technical set-up of ECS, HPS, Pediasim, SimMan, SimBaby and HAL
Design of static scenarios
Scenario scripting for dynamic sessions
Practical moulage workshop
Paediatric simulation workshop
Mobile and off-site simulation
