Identifying and responding to a sick child on the ward, a simulated training day

This course simulated ward emergencies from the newborn, toddler and teenager for nurses working in paediatric environment. A mixture of medical and surgical emergencies was simulated with faculty acting as parents and siblings to recreate the realistic clinical environment. This day was audited with the date at the 2004 Association of Paediatric Resuscitation Officers Conference in Leeds.
